OK, so it's June 9th 2009, just 4 months away from the Scally Rally, and I think it's about time I actually started writing something in the blog.
And so an update.
Well we're all still raring to go apart from El Coche Botch itself which is at the moment in 'car hospital' (well SMS Autocare's garage) having new brakes fitted as apparently the MOT is pretty strict about cars being able to stop. It's health and safety gone mad, I tell you.
Anyway, a big up to Martin at SMS who has managed to get the necessary parts for £0.00 + VAT and is going well beyond the call of duty in making sure that if anything does go wrong, it will be our fault and not the car's.
Hopefully we should be back up and running pretty soon.
For those in need of a good mechanic/garage, SMS's details and website will soon be on our friends/sponsors page

I am slightly concerned that sponsorship has been a bit slower than I was hoping for. I shall put this down to everyone wanting to save up to give us even more money.
I realise that times are hard, but this really is a vital cause and the work that the Air Ambulance does, really is 100% reliant on donations from people like yourselves.
We are hopefully going to be down at Snetterton for the BTCC on August 1/2 with the car and will have the collection buckets out there (providing we get permission from the circuit) and it would be good to see some of you down there. In the meantime you can donate via our justgiving page (follow the website links) or simply thrust a bunch of used notes into my, Phil's or Evan's hands.

Other than that, all is well and I shall post again soon.

John Botch
